Probably bug bite: Red bugs/chiggers/etc often seek out tight spaces in your undergarments and that tissue will swell an unusual amount and often turn a purplish red with even a minor bite.They often itch more than they hurt. Local application of an emollient cream or 1/2% hydrocortizone cream can give some relief.If it doesnt improve in a day or so have it evaluated.
