Many possibilities: Cramping type pain is not always uterine in origin. Some women with ovarian cysts will have pain that they interpret as cramping. Or cramping can be gastrointestinal in origin (diarrhea, constipation, etc.). Are you about to start your menses? Some women cramp for a few days prior to the start of their menses. Uterine issues such as fibroids or large polyps can produce cramping.
