Inheritance pattern: varies from autosomal dominant in which 50% of offspring will have a condition to autosomal recessive, where the gene may be passed on but the condition may not be apparent. There are also many other health conditions that cause abnormal appearing nails, including fungal infection, psoriaisis, iron deficiency, Addison's disease, lung disease, etc. There is no cure/Rx for genetic nail dysplasia.
