Postpartum discharge: Nursing moms normally have a low level of estrogen and the vaginal discharge is often yellow or caramel colored. The vagina may feel drier or less stretchy with intercourse. These changes, called atrophic vaginitis, reverse after weaning or when cycles resume. Of course, if it's irritating, itchy, or has a bad odor, see your doctor for an exam and culture.
