A member asked:

Does taking contraception pills for a long period of time effect your chance of getting pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: No, once you stop taking the birth control pills (BCPs) they are removed from your body within weeks. The first period back may be slightly delayed but you should resume your previous menstrual pattern soon. BCPs have no effect on your future fertility.
