Sure: The Coombs test (named for a Professor Robin Coombs, a British immunologist) looks for certain types of antibodies floating in the serum or attached to one's red blood cells. The antibodies can be related to "minor blood types" instead of the major ABO/Rh blood groups. If so, all three people can be A+ blood type, and still have a positive Coombs test in the baby.
