May have infection: It is possible that popping the bump allowed the area to become infected. If the aching doesn't go away or if you have redness, warmth, or severe tenderness in the area, you should see a doctor to be evaluated for an infection. If the aching is mild and goes away within an hour or two of when the bump was popped, it is more likely just related to irritation from when she popped it.
