Many possibilities : For a first time bout of abdominal pain with associated diarrhea, we will think less of inflammatory causes and more about a possible infection. The list is extensive, norwalk agent, rotavirus, astroviruses, enteric adenovirus, giardia, and many others...have you traveled? Other sick contacts? Food prep practices?
