How many days before my period do i need to start taking naproxen in order for it to help with a heavy flow? starting ocps for it, but want to try this until they start to help with the bleeding.

One day prior: or at least at the very start of your menses. Be sure to take these after meals.

Naproxen: doesn't really help with a heavy flow, just the pain. You can start when the pain starts, or just before but stop as soon as you don't need it anymore. You might find that taking evening primrose or borage oil for a few days before will help your own body to deal with the intensity of the cramps.
