14 days before: Ovulation occurs 14 days before you have your period. You can use your past history of determine the likely days of ovulation. You can also use a home ovulation kit if you are trying to get pregnant. Trying to predict ovulation based on symptoms such as cervical mucous is not very reliable for most patients.
