Lantus (insulin glargine): I am assuming that your insulin injections have been started not long ago. Injections should not cause weight gain but there is a more important issue. Type 2 diabetes can and should be corrected such that you no longer have diabetes. Insulin injections should not cause weight gain. With that in mind, talk to your doctor about diabetes and also have a dietitian help you with your weight.
