Metrarrhagia: If you have regular periods always and now have irregular spotting which can be many possibility eg, cervical erosion, cervicitis, hormonal imbalance etc and you can record 3 months periods if persisted you needed to see your Gyn then. And if you are not on family planning and continue spotting you should see your doctor ASAP Good luck
