Various: The endocannibinoid system has several known functions in the brain. Thermoregulation, appetite, pain modulation, ect. Exactly why our brains have active receptors for a naturally occurring substance such as THC is a mystery. We are still have much to learn about this system. Unfortunately the Federal Gov essentially does not allow research with THC.
