See below: Generally, an erection will have no adverse effect on either the penis or the indwelling stent as there is enough redundant string within the bladder and penis to prevent the stent from inadvertently being pulled down/out or discomfort in the penis from the string being pulled too taut. Also, less likely to get an erection because of the discomfort often associated with having a stent in place.
