Ask urologist or ...: Leaving a thread attached to stent for self pulling-out is common; yet the length of thread is arbitrarily decided by urologist and occasionally it may be too short so restricting the "room" leading to discomfort for erection. If so, you may release the taping of the thread and let it go inside urethra for comfort. After erection and peeing, you will most likely see the thread reappear of pulling.
