A member asked:

I had a massage last night and i found out that my therapist have hepa b. how high is the risk of transmission?what if i had a vaccine, would i be ok?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hepatitis B vaccine: A great way to protect yourself (and indirectly your very close family) is to get vaccinated for Hepatitis B. This vaccine is considered one of the safest of all of the vaccines. AND it's extremely effective. You can even get a blood test to make sure it's working... Transmission of Hep B is usually by blood and/or body fluids (such as through sexual activity). So not sure of your risks-but do ask
