Sunburn: Cool wet compresses are a good treatment for acute sunburn. After a cool or tepid shower, applying a light moisturizer can keep the skin hydrated and control some of the peeling. Best of all is prevention with regular use of a sunscreen SPF 30-50. Higher doesn't help much - don't pay more for higher SPFs and do look for UVA / UVB protection.
