Not typical: No, this sounds more like your menses. In my experience, implantation bleeding is over-estimated. If it happens, it is a little light spotting and then that's it. Have you checked a pregnancy test? If you had a positive pregnancy test followed by heavy bleeding then that's more likely to be an early miscarriage.
