Gastritis: Sometimes gastritis is caused by a bacteria, H pylori and you need to treat the bacteria with antibiotics and proton pump inhibitors for the gastritis to resolve .You can check for gastritis bacteria by a h pylori breath test done at Quest or Llabcorp. Avoid alcohol, smoking caffeine, spicy foods as that makes gastritis worse. Follow up w/ your doctor
