Monitor: Your pregnancy test is negative so you know you are pregnant. Your period has now started. Dark tar like blood usually means it is older and has been sitting in the back of the vagina going through the chemical process of oxidation. Monitor your cycles over the next few months. If you are not happy wit your cycle control consider one of the many great birth control options for cycle control
