Black tea/ cholester: i usually tell people just to have water ( 8 to 16 oz) so they are hydrated before a cholesterol exam, There seems to be some mild evidence that chronic intake of green/black tea can lower LDL cholesterol after 12 weeks ,so there may be a small impact , with resulting lower cholesterol. http://www.webmd.com/cholesterol-management/news/20030623/tea-extract-can-lower-cholesterol
