See below: There are many meds that can help for decreasing psychoses including first and second generation antipsychotics. Medications used to treat panic disorder include SSRI and less frequently MAOI antidepressants. If a person needs treatment for acute panic attacks, a short term trial of a benzodiazepine is given to take as needed. Severe mania and depression can cause psychoses also.

Discuss with Psychiatrist: • Diagnosis • Medications for Anxiety and panic attacks- Ativan or Xanax • Zoloft or Lexapro for panic attacks, depression and some psychotic symptoms • Risperdal or Abilify for more psychotic symptoms. •Therapy
