Depends....: Hi there FShelton. I'm sorry to hear about your skin changes. If the patches of skin are scaly, I would assume they are dry and you may potentially have eczema and would start with a moisturizer and use frequently. The light and dark patches could be various things but medications such as hydroquinone/azelaic acid are used often to lighten skin. This situation would best be evaluated in office.
