Today sponge: Is a contraceptive sponge that is of course sterile and soft and undetectable and it will absorb quite a lot of blood. It was off the market for many years but is again available in the US and Canada. You will have to look around to see if it is back in Australia. Having said that, you don't typically bleed that much during sex. You can use a tampon until just before and be plenty dry.
