Yes: All these forms of iron have distinct characteristics that affect these areas. Though gluconate and fumarate are more tolerable than the sulfate, they provide a lower amount of absorbable iron. I feel that it is more important to be able to tolerate the form of iron you're taking than how much is absorbed especially if you have any stomach problems to begin with. Good luck.
