What are all the side affects of the depo-provera shot?

Many: All of the side effects? How about the most common side effects? The most common side effects are irregular vaginal bleeding (irregular periods), which includes spotting. Headaches. Occasionally will cause mood changes like depression. Loss of bone density if you are on Depo-Provera long term (over 2 years). Often times patients may complain of weight gain, but the research doesn't prove that.
