Disk herniated: Most likely this is from a disk herniation in the low back. You should get an MRI to evaluate this and potentially consult with a neurosurgeon.

Sciatica?: Sounds like you have sciatica, that is some pressure on the sciatic nerve that causes pain to radiate down the back of the leg (where the sciatic nerve runs). The pain is usually described as "electric" and may be associated with numbness and tingling. The fix is to figure out what is compressing the sciatic nerve. Talk to your doctor about an MRI for diagnosis.
