NO: A black stool may be caused by certain foods (eg Blueberries) and by IRON containing liquids (Some Red Wines may have an elevated iron level) BUT BLEEDING MUST BE RULED OUT! A visit to your Primary Care Provider witha stool sample (call first you may be directed to a laboratory) Hope this helps! Good Luck Dr Z
