Depo lasts 14 weeks: While it is recommended you get your Depo-Provera shot every 12 weeks, it should truly last 14 weeks. Depo commonly causes spotting, and this can be worse during or after intercourse. This side effect tends to get better over time. Best of luck!

Still protected: Irregular bleeding is very common with depoprovera, especially in the beginning, and that does not mean it is not effective. However, it is important to get your next shot on time.

I do not think so: If i understand the question, when you were given the Depo-Provera shot, you were given an estimate of the duration that it would have a protective effect. You indicated that it was estimated that the protective effect would "last" for 2 more weeks beyond the time you had sex, but it is not clear whether you were spotting before the sex or afterwards. I suggest a pregnancy test to be sure.
