My son 15wks. had 2 scans on testes, as dr unsure if descended. they think high up in scrotum. why is this? is it bad? will they drop on there own?

Undescended testes: He is young but undefended testes can cause infertility. Not sure why doctor cannot tell but please stay on this - he may need to see a GU doctor and have it corrected

Be patient: If lost in the belly they can't be monitored for testis cancer (midlife) & may impair fertility. 15 wks is early to be worried.They may or may not drop as desired by 9-12m & if not, they can be brought down surgically.Your primary will monitor the situation for a while and send you for a consultation if it looks like you need to plan for additional treatment.
