NO: it is an anti-fungal medication and will not help and should never be used to treat a cold sore.

Useless: Miconazole is an antifungal medication. Cold sores are caused by the Herpes virus. Antifungals DO NOT treat viral cold sores. Therefore it is useless to use this as a treatment. Zovirax is the recommended topical cream to treat cold sores.

Cold sore : Cold sore sore is caused by virus . Micinazole is an antifungal cream , it won't work in cold sore . You can try Zovirax, it's over the counter .
