I just got an appointment to my ob-gyn for the first time. i feel comfortable asking this to a lady doctor. what should i expect?

Just talking.: Most times you do not need to get undressed or have a pelvic exam by a GYN at your age. You will likely just be talking to the doctor. If you are more comfortable with a female then that is who you should see. If their is not a female OB/GYN nearby then perhaps you could see a nurse practitioner. It is important to be comfortable with your healthcare providers. Hope this helps.
