Jolting head pains that shoot from back of my head to the top middle. happen sporadically and can go days in between. lasting 1 second, never longer.

Nerve: These are consistent with neuralgia pains from the occipital nerve which runs from the base of the skull up to the back of the scalp. There is one on each side of the scalp. This irritability of the nerve is more of a nuisance than a serious disorder and usually resolves on its own. Consult a neurologist if you have further concerns.
