DUB: Check a pregnancy test if you are at risk. Otherwise see your doctor. Your hormones may be abnormal causing you not to cycle properly and you may need blood work and other management. All the best.

Light discharge: If you are sexually active, it is always reasonable to check a pregnancy test if your periods have changed. No contraception is 100% reliable except abstinence. But don't panic. Many women have variable periods, especially when younger. If the bleeding started early, it may increase in the next couple of days. The brown discharge is the lining of the uterus that comes off with each cycle.
