I have a cold and a slight sting in my throat when i swallow but not every time about twice a day it gets better everyday but want to know what it is?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sore throat: About 70% of colds are caused by viruses. A sore throat with other respiratory symptoms is usually caused by postnatal drainage. Chances are you have a virus and your symptoms will resolve on their own. Medications such as antihistamines and sudafed, which you can get over the counter, can help with symptom control. If you feel worse around day 10 of symptoms, you should see your doctor.
