A member asked:

Can you use a viral culture on ocular hsv that does not show dendrites or lesions in the fluorescein blue-light test, presenting with eyelid pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: I am slightly confused by the question but it sounds like you want to know if such a clinical presentation can be cultured to see if HSV is present. That is certainly possible if the culture is taken prior to any treatment having been given.
