Needs evaluation.: It's unlikely that a cancer would pop up so quickly and so dramatically. But, it could be an abscess, which would require antibiotics and perhaps incision and drainage. An abscess can present in this area as a painful lump, and this would pop up quite quickly. You should go to see a surgeon very soon.
