Paroxetine effects: I understand your distress. Side effects of Paroxetine (Paxil) may be- decreased sex drive, , or difficulty having an orgasm or ejaculation disturbance. Paroxetine 60mg a day is high dose for maintenance of Depression or Anxiety. See Psychiatrist for Diagnosis; discuss sexual side effects of Paroxetine and decrease the dose to 40 mg/day; if no withdrawal symptoms, decrease it to 20mg/day; Therapy

Switch: paroxitine is notorious for creating sexual side effects. Newer serotonin medicines such as brintellex tend to have less sexual side effects . you have to wean off paroxetine slowly- it can have a nasty withdrawl syndrome

New med: There are lots of antidepressants and you might not have this issue with another one or even at a lower dosage. You should discuss your concerns in detail with your psychiatrist. Meds like Viagra (sildenafil) and Cialis can also be very helpful but may not be necessary at your age . Talk it over
