Too soon : Use over the counter Plan B if intercourse was within 72 hours to decrease the risk of unplanned pregnancy. Plan b decreases the risk by about 70%. You will need to wait to see if your period comes and then check a pregnancy test at that time to be sure it worked. Use condoms and consider starting birth control

If you took Plan B: six days after sexual intercourse - that is to late to be very effective. six days after sex is too early to test. If using a regular pregnancy test - consider testing about 2 weeks after sex or if period is missed. An early response type test can be used earlier.
