Cause?: Don't open your mouth so widely to crack the angles, keep your lips dry, do not lick...use Nivea, vaseline, antibiotic creme or other skin softener without fragrance. There are many treatable conditions that cause angular chelitis. For inflammation lasting more than a few weeks see your local provider.

Anti fungal cream: Over the counter clotrimazole. If this is ineffective, see your doctor to make sure of the cause. Prescription antifungals include ketoconazole and nystatin. Less frequently, this can be a bacterial infection.
