Unusual: It's not my first choice. In fact I have never prescribed it for migraines. But some doctors use it. Is this like a third or fourth choice? Are you to take it daily or just as needed? There are other things to try depending on frequency and severity of your headaches and your overall cardiovascular risk factor

You can try it: It is not one of the first things used. Best to see a neurologist. A full evaluation is in order. Various details need be considered. Smoke? Alcohol? Vitamins and supplements? ALL current and past meds. Details about the symptoms and associated symptoms and rhythms of the migraines, if that is what they truly are. A sophisticated neurologist may get results when others fail.
