Epiploic Appenagitis: You had a rare problem that requires astute CT, US or laparoscopic diagnosis. Yes, repeats are frequent BUT so many other abdominal problems have similar symptoms , even in what was the same place. It is a burden, but it would be prudent to check with the surgeon to be sure it is the same thing and R/O appendicitis, Meckel's diverticulitis, diverticulitis, Tiflitis and others.
