Many reasons: Urinary frequency can be caused by many factors including infection, overactive bladder, a bladder tumor, neurologic issues impacting the bladder. In a man, an enlarged prostate may be part of the issue. For both men and women, it can be due to drinking a lot of fluid as well as consuming caffeine rich sources. Also, patients with elevated blood sugars may also have frequency. See you doctor.

Many reasons.: Urinary frequency can occur for many reasons, and finding the cause can often require a detailed patient history, physical exam, or other testing. Excessive fluid intake, caffeine and alcohol can make things worse. Diabetes can increase urine volume. Overactive bladder may give you the sense of urgency with little urine in the bladder.
