History: Need a thorough history. Did you have any injuries or doc any lifting? You could have slept on it wrong and developed a bursitis or inflammation which is very painful for months try resting the shoulder if no improvement in a week time to see your doctor

Right shoulder pain: Can be tendonitis, , from the tendon or due to cervical disc disease ( do you have trouble bending or rotating your neck? ) can be lyme disease so check lyme titer, may be infection in joint usually joint is red and veryyhot, if you had trauma( fall) you could have a fracture. Go to Er/ urgent care today to check it out.
