Had a vaginal ultrasound a day before my period was due, to check all was ok . im a day late, unusual. could the dr have missed a pregancy?

If the: Pregnancy is very early, for example under 5 weeks, it may not be visible on ultrasound. This doesn't necessarily mean the doctor "missed" it, it is simply that the embryo is too small to be resolved by sonography very early on.
