Highly unlikely: Menstrual blood is discarded blood and tissue that has formed in the lining of the uterus. Sometimes this is dark red and occasionally brown in color, which just indicates that there is no fresh bleeding. Your recent depo shot gave you a boost of progesterone hormone which likely precipitated this, or it could be coincidental. It is unlikely that there has been any damage to your uterus.
