Norovirus?: "Stomach flu" usually is viral gastroenteritis caused by norovirus. Noro is extremely infectious, and people with such infections should stay away from school or their workplaces until their symptoms are gone. However, there is little risk if you and she didn't touch or share food or drinking glasses etc. If she vomits, people nearby can catch it. If she remains in class, wash hands frequently.
