Spontaneous loss: If you had sex since your last period, it is likely that you had spontaneous loss of an early pregnancy. About 25% of early pregnancies are lost, usually due to chromosomal defects in the embryo. If you repeat the pregnancy test after your period is over, it should be negative. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine.
