GYN exam: You should be checked by your GYN for other female infections. Other possibilities are normal discharge, bacterial vaginosis or a fungal infection- all require exam and culture.

See below: A heavy vaginal discharge in your circumstance is most likely a yeast infection or Bacterial vaginosis. If it's whitish in color and associated with vaginal/vulval itching more likely the former. If it's not whitish, doesn't itch and has a fishy odor more likely the latter.
