A member asked:

Can the procedure of separating labia few times per day in children having partial labial adhesion(as prescribed by doctors) affect urethra or hymen?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Labial adhesions: For my patients with labial adhesions, I usually recommend using a q-tip with some k-y jelly on it to gently separate the adhesions. If done gently and just on the adhesions, there is no reason it should affect the urethra or hymen
